IQAC

The Department of Quality Assurance is the latest addition in the agies of SNMIMT. As a part of Quality Assurance Department, our function is matched by the steps that have been taken in academic and administrative activities to ensure that the highest quality of learning, teaching, curricula, research and the academic pursuit of knowledge is maximized and that this is supported by efficient and effective administration and management. The responsibility for quality assurance is a continual pursuit that is founded upon documented processes that are well considered, clearly communicated and transparently applied. We work closely with and involving all the stakeholders, to disseminate information, staff development (quality related matters) and external/internal quality review preparations and activities all designed to support a cycle of continuous quality enhancement across all areas of academic and non-academic life of the institution.

Vision

  • To make quality the important element of SNMIMT, through a blend of internal and external quality evaluation, promotion and sustenance initiatives to achieve the vision of SNMIMT.

Mission

  • To organize for periodic assessment and accreditation of SNMIMT
  • To promote quality of teaching-learning and research in SNMIMT
  • To encourage self-evaluation, responsibleness, autonomy and innovations in SNMIMT
  • To initiate quality-related research studies, consultancy and training programmes
  • To collaborate with other stakeholders of higher education for quality evaluation, promotion and sustenance.

  • Ensuring continual enhancement of Quality in all the Academic and Administrative initiatives of the Institute.

IQAC Strategies

  • Ensuring timely, efficient and progressive performance of academic, administrative and financial tasks
  • The relevance and quality of academic and research programmes
  • The credibility of evaluation procedures
  • Ensuring the adequacy, maintenance and functioning of the support structure and services
  • Research sharing and networking with other institutions in India and abroad.
  • Development and application of quality benchmarks/parameters for the various academic and administrative activities of the Institute
  • Facilitating the creation of a learner-centric environment conducive for quality education and faculty maturation to adopt the required knowledge and technology for participatory teaching and learning process
  • Arrangement for feedback responses from students, parents and other stakeholders on quality-related institutional processes
  • Dissemination of information on the various quality parameters of higher education
  • Organization of inter and intra institutional workshops, seminars on quality related themes and promotion of quality circles
  • Documentation of the various programmes/activities of the Institute, leading to quality improvement
  • Conduction of Academic and administrative audits of the institute
  • Preparation of the accreditation related activities
  • To conduct the meetings with IQAC members quarterly, and with other counterparts of the institutes as and when needed.
  • To develop a monitoring system for quality assurance of the policies
  • Preparation and release of guidelines regarding all Academic activities
  • Collection and compilation of various data at the end of the semester and send the same to the respective stakeholders for further decision making.
  • Collection and submission of data to the industry relevant surveys.
  • Organizing the workshops, Sensitization Programmes, FDPs, conferences and other curricular and co-curricular activities including the extension activities.

  • To develop institution towards quality enhancement and facilitate internalization of the quality culture.

  • To Act as a Nodal Agency of the Institute for coordinating quality-related activities, including adoption and dissemination of good practices.
