The department of civil engineering is an emerging department and was started in the college in the academic year 2011-12 with an intake of 60 students per year. It aims to cater to the needs of society for qualified civil engineers with high standards of technical expertise and moral ethics.
The Civil engineering department produced 11 honours degree holders in APJ.Abdul Kalam Technological University (KTU).
To establish an outstanding centre of regional and national reputation and for providing a quality engineering education to the students.
Our mission is to advance knowledge and educate students in science, technology and other areas of vital importance, which will best serve the nation in the 21 st century.

The Objective of civil engineering workshop is to provide students of all disciplines with basic knowledge of civil engineering including masonry, setting out of buildings and measurements of buildings.
The objective of surveying lab is to impart training in surveying using chain, compass, plane table, level, theodolite and total station. This laboratory course will help the students to understand the theoretical concepts learned in the course of surveying theory.
The objective of the lab is to practice different experiments for determination of index properties and strength of soil and to develop confidence among the students to assess the suitability of soil for various construction activities. This laboratory course will help the students to understand the theoretical concepts learned in the course of geotechnical theory.
The objective of environmental engineering laboratory is to familiarize students with laboratory tests for water and waste water quality analysis.
The objective of Transportation Engineering Laboratory is to make the students aware of the properties of various materials used in road construction.
The objective of Computer Applications laboratory is to familiarize students with software packages for analysis , design and project management.
The department library is well equipped with sufficient number of text books in all areas of civil engineering like investigation, planning, design, analysis and management. The library has a total collection of around 400 books including project and seminar reports of passed out students. A faculty is appointed as library in charge to assist the students to make the best use of the library’s resources. Our library offers borrowing facilities to all students in the department and they can hold the books till the end of the semester. Our library has an extensive reading and study area which the students can make use for their group discussions and combined study.
