As a part of EEE association – HORIZON ,we have arranged an industrial visit to CIAL,Nedumbassery.To study the implementation of solar panels ,s3,s5 and s7 students along with teachers of EEE Department has visited CIAL. Tour of CIAL facility has opened up details regarding how the solar panel implementation was done by CIAL, how same is being operated and maintained and how energy is distributed by CIAL. This was a real time practical knowledge to the teachers and students alike
As a part of EEE association – HORIZON, EEE department was arranged a
technical workshop on the topic “Solar and Smart Energy”. The workshop was
held on 29 th and 30 th July 2019 at EEE seminar hall and the program was started at
9.30 am. The program was guided by Mr. Karthi from Skifi lab, Bangalore.
The program mainly deals with the theory of microprocessor, solar panel
and solar energy and practical session with mobile charger and traffic light using
solar energy. The training helps the students to improve their practical knowledge
and understand the difference between theory and practical. Students from S7, S5
and S3 EEE participated and got an excellent feedback from students.
The two day program was very informative to the students and ends with
successive completion.
As a part of EEE association – HORIZON arranged a technical workshop on
the topic “Industrial Automation and System Design” was held on 24 th to 26 th July
2019 at EEE CADD lab and the program was started at 10 am. The program was
guided by Mr. Madhavan (Faculty, AMBIT automation).
The program mainly deals with the design of automation system using PLC
and SCADA. The training includes the practical session, which helps the students
to improve their practical knowledge. Students from S7 and S5 EEE participated
and got an excellent feedback from students.
The three day program was very informative to the students and ends with
successive completion.
As a part of EEE association – HORIZON arranged a technical talk on the
topic “The future with engineering skills and fore-casing indian resources” was
held on 4 th april 2019 at EEE seminar hall and the program stared at 10.45 am. The
program was guided by Mr. Joby P K (Assistant electrical inspector).
The program mainly deals with the design, implementation and operation
of solar panel for EEE students. The talk was an interactive session with trainer
and students. Students from s4 and s6 EEE participated and got an excellent
feedback from students.
The program was very informative and ends with the handover of
momentum to the trainer by our honorable HOD a 12.30 pm.
As a part of EEE association – HORIZON arranged a technical talk on the

program was guided by Mr.Raphin C A (senior electrical engineer).
The program mainly deals with the job opportunities in various fields for
EEE students. The talk was an interactive session with trainer and students.
Students from s8 and s6 EEE participated and got an excellent feedback from
students.
The program was very informative and ends with the handover of
momentum to the trainer by our honorable HOD a 1 pm.
The Association Inaugural Function was initiated with the traditional lighting of
lamp on 28th Septermber, 2018 at 9.30 AM in the EEE Department Seminar Hall.
The Head of the Department, Ms. Pushya Bijoy , gave the welcome address on
behalf of EEE Department and also briefly explained the activities held during the
past years and the activities to be conducted in the upcoming semester..
The chief guest for the occasion was Mr M V Dileep , Rtd.Deputy Electrical
Inspector. The event was formally inaugurated by lighting of kuthuvilaku by the
chief guest in the presence of principal, HOD and other staff members of EEE
Department. The chief guest Mr M V Dileep gave a scintillating speech, in this he
told the students that concentrating only on academics is not what the recruiters
looked for but they are interested in the general awareness that a student processes
of the world around her. After the inaugural session, the Chief Guest took a class
on “Electrical Safety”.
Principal, Dr. Sasi Kumar V R, encouraged the students to gain excellent
knowledge in the field of Electrical and Electronics Engineering and also
motivated the students to do lot of activities under Association Banner.
Honored the teachers by giving trophies by the chief guest for achieving cent
percentage result in their taught subject in the previous semester university
examination and also distributed trophies to the students who all were class toppers
in the previous University examination.
Finally the Vote of Thanks was given by Mr. Antony Rohith George
Association Secretary (Final Year EEE student) and the inaugural function was
smoothly ended with National Anthem.
After the inaugural function, the Quiz and Project presentation was conducted for
the students under the supervision of Assistant Professors. Ms Sanita C S , Ms
Anooja C L. and Ms Soumya . The Assistant Professors Ms Winnie and Ms Beni
gave valuable direction and guidance to students for the smoothly conduction the
programme
