The Department of Applied Sciences functions as an integral part of our institution since its inception in 2002. It is a combination of numerous disciplines such as Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, Economics and English. These subjects act as building blocks towards equipping students in specializing their respective fields of study. The Department is headed by an experienced senior faculty aided by 12 other teachers.
Mathematics which acts as a foundation stone for engineering subjects is handled till semester 5. The department is well- equipped with 2 laboratories for Physics and Chemistry supported by 2 lab assistants. Language Lab is a fundamental add on to our department which enables students to get an exposure to native speakers of English language. The Department actively engages in conducting bridge courses and remedial classes to cater to the academic needs of students.

The experiments in chemistry help to familiarize the basic principles in chemistry and its significance in all Engineering fields. The objective of the course is that the student will have exposure to various experimental skills which is very essential for an Engineering student. It also correlates theoretical principles with application based studies.
The objective of the course is to develop scientific and experimental skills of the students. This course enables the students to correlate the theoretical principles of fundamentals of modern aspects in Physics with application-oriented studies of Engineering. This course also facilitates the students to get a comprehensive exposure to all Engineering Programmes. It motivates to learn the concepts and principles with more zeal and interest.
