Laboratories

ELECTRONIC CIRCUITS LAB

The ELECTRONIC CIRCUITS LAB is one of the first electronics engineering lab courses students will take. This lab consists of all types of active/passive components, measuring instruments, cathode ray oscilloscope, audio oscillators, function generators and various types of decade boxes. The department has a well-equipped Electronic Circuits laboratory with oscilloscopes, digital storage oscilloscopes, power supplies and signal generators for the students to get a hands-on experience about the theoretical electronic circuit concepts they had studied. The lab also has a PCB etching and fabrication facility for the students, mainly used during mini-projects. The main aim of the lab is to expose the student with practical awareness for the components like diode, transistor (BJT & FET), and study its characteristics. Through this lab the students will get a thorough understanding of various applications of electronic components. This lab provides an insight into basic circuits to be handled by a novice. Students will experience the working of electronic circuits in real environment. Various experiments on discrete electronic circuits are done in this lab. Students undergo training in simulating all the experiments in this lab. Facilities are also given for PCB soldering and fabrication. Students are exposed to most modern equipments in this lab..

DIGITAL ELECTRONICS LAB

It is nearly impossible to find a part of society that has not been touched by digital electronics. Obvious applications such as computers, televisions, digital video recorders and countless other consumer electronics would not be possible without them. The Digital Lab is one of the most important and well equipped labs of the Department of Electronics and communication Engineering. Logic gates are the basic elements in the digital devices. This lab is designed such that the students get hands on familiarity with the concepts of the Digital Systems course. Digital systems design is a core module of the Electronics Engineering coursework as it provides the prerequisites for advance courses in digital electronics. The Lab is well equipped with all the hardware facilities required by the students to perform the necessary experiments designed for this lab. The digital lab offers gaining experience in the design, assembly, testing and trouble-shooting of digital electronic circuits using digital trainer kit. A digital trainer is a single purpose unit that contains several features that facilitate the construction and testing of digital circuits. Experiments encompass a wide range of topics such as combinational circuits, sequential circuits, clock circuits, programmable logic devices etc.

LINEAR INTEGRATED CIRCUITS LAB

Experiments in the LIC lab help the students to get exposure about the Linear ICs performances and applications. It helps the students to design the given specification and requirements and also to check for the functionality of the designed circuits using the linear ICs. Linear integrated circuit lab topics include power supplies, special amplifier circuits, and data conversion circuits. In addition to theory and basic circuit applications, emphasis is placed on industry standard circuit applications. Hands-on experience with industry standard test equipment is supplemented with computer simulation to enhance presentation of theory and circuit applications and development of troubleshooting skills.

MICROPROCESSOR AND MICROCONTROLLER LAB

The Microprocessor and Microcontroller laboratory is equipped with 8085, 8086 microprocessor and 8051 microcontroller kits, interfacing devices and software tools such as MASM, KEIL & MPLAB. Training in various types of Microprocessors, Microcontrollers and interfacing hardware is imparted in this lab. After the end of the lab work related to Microprocessor and Microcontroller, student expect to achieve encoding skills in Assembly Language and Interfacing with various devices and develop in depth knowledge in writing and executing 8085, 8086 and 8051 programs.
