MECHANICAL ENGINEERING

About The Department

The department of mechanical engineering was established during the academic year 2004-2005 with an initial sanctioned intake of 60 students which was later increased to 120 [2 batches ] . The department currently conducts 4year B.Tech programme in Mechanical Engineering , affiliated to M.G University , Kottayam . Plans to launch an M.Tech programme with specialization befitting the current industry standard is on its way.

Mechanical engineering is a conventional branch of engineering and is essential for wide range of activities like design, development, manufacture, control and management of Engineering systems, subsystems and components. Mechanical Engineers are widely employed in automotive, manufacturing, aerospace, power generation and processing industries, making immense job potential.

Our Vision

Excellence in Instrumentation and Control Engineering education through innovative practices and team work.

Our Mission

To provide strong theoretical foundation complemented with extensive practical training.
To encourage the students to be innovative, competent, efficient and value oriented.
